Yasmine Dominguez-Whitehead has over 15 years of experience in higher education. She is a former first-generation college student and is dedicated to supporting new students. Previously, Yasmine has worked in the residence halls, a first-generation college student center, and in academic departments as an instructor. Immediately after earning her Ph.D. she spent 8 years working as a researcher and instructor in South Africa. Her research interests are in the area of inclusion, equity, and social justice in higher education. She has published some of her work in: Journal of College Student Development, Studies in Higher Education, and Cambridge Journal of Education

Yasmine enjoys meeting new students and learning about their education and life goals. When she is not working Yasmine likes to go on runs with her pooch Stevie, eat good food, and drink boba. Her favorite season is summer! Come visit her in the Library (Room 1574, inside CITRAL).
