Mission

Successful Student Transitions provides resources and support to students transitioning to the university and within the university. Guided by inclusive and equitable practices that support a diverse student body, Successful Student Transitions takes into consideration the needs of new students, especially those who have been traditionally marginalized in higher education. The Successful Student Transitions Office offers:

• Courses for new students during the summer and fall designed to promote academic success.
• Academic Activities throughout the year that promote learning and campus connections.
• Programs which allow students to explore a variety of majors/minors.
• Workshops with academic and student affairs partners.
• Resources that help students make the transition to UCSB
